Empowering Our Community.

As SNAP delays and local family needs continue across Pennsylvania, more Huntingdon County families are struggling to keep food on the table.

The Huntingdon County United Way is expanding our United We Care Closet to temporarily include nonperishable food — and we’re inviting community partners to help us fill the shelves.

Why Our Services Matter

in Huntingdon County

According to United For ALICE, 45% of households in Huntingdon County struggle to afford basic needs. Of the county’s 16,038 households:

  • 1,851 live in poverty.

  • 5,306 fall into the ALICE category: working individuals and families who cannot meet the cost of living.

  • Only 8,881 households are financially stable.

Our programs exist to help ALICE households and those in poverty access critical resources and support.
